Jessica is an innovative trainer, award-winning teacher and committed coach. She is passionate about empowering today's youth so that they may go confidently in the direction of their dreams, and proudly serves as Academic Director for the Youth Leadership Initiative at HEC.
Formerly a Lead Teacher with AmeriCorps, Jessica has taught at diverse and renowned schools in the United States, France and Switzerland, as well as at educational summer camps with Walt Disney, China. Over the past 10 years she has taught as a self-contained primary school teacher, secondary school teacher, and instructor at the undergraduate and graduate-level.
Her achievements both in the classroom and in the field of leadership development have earned her multiple awards, including a "Congressional Award Gold Medal" by the United States Congress and "A Day Made Better" national teaching recognition award.
In addition to teaching, Jessica is often called upon by educational associations to deliver workshops and conduct trainings on topics ranging from "creating classroom culture" to "wellbeing at school". She aspires to inspire students and staff members to make positive choices that lead to meaningful impact.
Previously working in hotel management, Jessica held managerial positions at Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, where she led international staff and finessed her public speaking and crisis communication skills. Today, she enjoys mentoring students who are interested in sharing their strengths and talents within multi-cultural teams and organisations.
Beyond the classroom, Jessica can be found organising wellbeing and yoga workshops in Paris, where she currently resides. She is also known within educational communities as the founder of "Paris Girls Soccer" which she founded to help boost students' self-esteem and help them experience team spirit.
Jessica holds a Bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech, an Advanced TEFL-C certification from Columbia University, and a Masters degree in Education from Rockhurst University.
